Hey, Barbie!

Obviously this is a little different then my other posts.
Pretty much everyone knows who Megan Fox is, right. The "hot smokin'" girl from Transformers.
Well, let us examine her more closely.
Fake tan, butt fat injected into her lips, perfectly manicured fingers, precisely waxed eyebrows, zero cellulite.
..A Barbie.
Come on, really? I mean, it's obvious.
I am so completely sick of the media, movies, television, and society's image of "beauty."
Sick.
of.
it.
Magazines constantly cramming "look like _insert celebrity teen sensation here_ with just these simple steps," "get rid of cellulite now," "how to keep your man,"
Crap.
All of it.
Magazing covers don't even show the real person! They show the airbrushed, photoshopped person that does not and will never exist.
I am not an ugly fat person sitting on their computer raving jealously about skinny people.
I am a normal teenager ranting about how skinny people are the only things acceptable in modern culture.
The Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD) reports 33% of respondents reported the onset of Anorexia between the ages of 11-15 and 43% reported the onset between the ages of 16-20.
"You can't blame society for that!"
Uh, yeah, I can.
Why do people feel the need to starve themselves and make themselves sick?To look like that skinny girl who always gets all the attention and guys. Why does the attention go to her?Because, the people giving the attention think that "skinny" is pretty and that it should be awed.
Yeah, I blame society.
Site models. Go ahead, search it. Do you see a variation of body types?
Noooooooo.
You see skinny adolescent teenagers wearing Abercrombie crap.
*Preparing to get beaten for saying Abercrombie is crap*
Look at paintings from a couple hundred years back.
The women there are not skeletal and thin.
They are curvy, volumptious(sp), healthy women.
Why have we changed that?
What is so wrong with being curvy and normal?
I applaud Dove for using real people to advertise their products. They have taken the first step in trying to fix this whole mess.
I think that it is our turn to step up and do something.
Here, right now (let it be known that I literally just thought of this as I wrote the words "the first step") I propose a new movement.
I'm not sure what to call it yet considering the fact that I just thought of this less than a minute ago.
But, I do know the goal. We need to empower girls, teenagers, and women everywhere.
We need to let them know that they ARE beautiful just the way they are and nothing anyone else says can change that.
Despite the media, everyone is beautiful whether they are a size 2 or a size 18.
Let's do it.

Sarah Palin Resigns.
Sarah Palin announced her resignation as Governor of Alaska this past Friday.
I don't understand why she resigned, but I respect her decision and I wish her the best in whatever she decides to do next.

Good Day, Everyone.
I haven't posted anything in a while, sorry.
The news has been making me mad so I've been mainly playing a lot of Mario Kart Wii lately.
It's awesome :)
Since I haven't watched the news in so long, I don't really know what's happening in the country. I have no idea what the politicians are doing, what has been passed, who has been elected, what Obama has said or really anything that I should care about.
But that's alright. Do you know why?
Because politicians always have our best interests in mind and will never forsake us in exchange for money and power.
Because they know that they were elected for the people and by the people, so they will surely listen to us and do their darn best to fix the ills of this grand country.
Right?
If you were reading the above and nodding your head in agreement, go watch the news- now.
If you were reading the above and thinking what an ignorant idiot I was, good job - you've watched the news and have read my previous posts.
I am sick of people being so ignorant and blind to so many things. I am sick of stupid (if I offended you, too bad) people shoving unbelievable, ridiculous crap down my throat.
I'm sick of those same stupid people voting in our elections.
I'm sick of some of those people advancing in the world, becoming politicians, and making laws and decisions for us.
We need to sift through all the crap.
We need to sift through all the stupid.
